  1. I think by looking at my artwork, a baseball fan might know what team that he plays for. With the colors being Yellow and black. By doing this, it makes the person reading it know a little more about him.
  2. I created my artwork on Adobe illustrator. I thought about what I liked to do. My passion is baseball so I decided to research someone who was a difference maker in baseball. Roberto Clemente is not very well known but he was a true difference maker in the game of baseball.
  3. My baseball teams in the past inspired me to do so. They helped me find my passion and without that I do not think I would be playing now. I am trying to express how much he changed the game of baseball.
  4. I want to try to make things easier, but also it makes it better. I really like how they come out. I want to become a master at this, so I do not have to draw something out.
  5. I learned more about my person’s background. I thought about something like this and it came out very well. Brainstorming really helped me get my ideas and put it into my work.

  1. What is the type of business you designed your logo for? Explain.

My type of business is golf. My uncle Allen is really into golf so it made me use his name for the logo.

  1. How does the logo represent your business? Explain.

Again, my uncle Allen is the biggest golfer I know. He inspired me to start playing golf, so I decided to use his name as my logo.

  1. Who is the target audience for your business? Explain.

My target audience is people in the game of golf. I feel that golf is such a world renowned sport and males especially in their 20s and up really feel the need to play golf all the time.

  1. How does the logo appeal to that target audience? Explain.

I feel that my ball going into the hole at the end of the logo can relate to many golfers. Getting that lucky roll or that nice putt is kind of what my logo is representing.

  1. What are you the proudest of in this piece of artwork?  Explain.

I think I am most proud of all the work and the trial and error that I put into this. All of that helped me get the logo that i was truly looking for.

  1. What could you have done better? Explain.

I think that I could have done more trial and error. If i did that and tried new ideas, maybe I would get the logo that was better.

Gotham City

  1. What is the subject of your illustration and why did you choose it? Explain.
  • I chose Batman the Dark Knight Rises. I chose this one because this is a movie that I really like. Furthermore, I think the Batman character is very cool. As Well as this movie played by Christian Bale, I thought that he was the best Batman.

  1. What do you like about your art? Explain.
  • I really like when you look at my art you know exactly what I am talking about. The spotlight in Batman is such a known thing that the viewer will know exactly what it is, without seeing the words. Coupling with that, I like the city factor that I added. People know the city of Gotham and know the spotlight comes from the top of the building.

  1. What advice would you give another student before they begin the pictogram technique? Explain.
  • I would tell another student to pick a topic and a movie that they enjoy. Knowing more about your topic will give you more information and more to draw.

I hope that people see the difference between them. They are both important people in that culture. Both of them were first in what they do. I would tell them to get someone that they are very interested in. Someone who interests them will make their photo shoot so much for fun.

Foods and friends!

Oct - 25 2023 | no comments | By

This picture of my friend was taken at Greek Grill in Summit. This my friend drinking doctor pepper.

My friend Derek looking through his favorite donut.

Q1 How did you choose the specific types of food for each portrait? What is their significance? Explain – be specific!

I choose the donut because my friend told me it was his favorite food. Also, he is my actor and I wanted to meet his expectations and wants. Also, in the picture with my friend drinking, I really wanted that shot because it was at my favorite restaurant.

Q2 Consider the lighting in your photographs. What was the light source in each of your photos. What time of day? How did it affect the mood and atmosphere of the portraits? Explain – be specific!

The day at the restaurant I remember it being a chilly day. We wanted to stay inside that day when I thought it was a perfect time to snap the shot. I thought that the lighting in the restaurant was very very good and I had to get the shot. In the other one, it was a very foggy day. Almost the perfect day to try and get the shot I wanted. I got the shot I wanted and I felt really good about it.

Q3 Think about the composition of your photos. Name the composition technique you used for each photo. Why did you choose to crop your photos as shown? Be specific! (3 sentences min.)

In my picture with the donut I used ” Center the Dominate eye”. I used this one because he is looking through the donut so I wanted that to be the thing that everyone looks at. In my other picture I used ” rule of thirds”, I used this because my friend drinking his doctor pepper is the main thing I want all he viewers looking at.

Q4 How do the colors and color splash technique in your photographs contribute to the overall impact of the images? Why did you choose to mask the specific areas in color for each photo? Be specific!  (3 sentences min.)

The color techniques contribute very much to my overall impact in my photos. In my first photo I colored some areas where I wanted the viewer to look at some of the colors that make it POP. In my other one, I wanted to have that picture for awhile now, I wanted a pink one so I knew the color would pop and I am so happy how it came out.

Q5 Consider the technical aspects of your photography, such as focus (lens size 75-300(lg) or 18-35(reg), or iphone mode/focus), depth of field (blurry background), and exposure (value in PS adjustment of your black, grays, whites). How did you use these techniques to enhance your images? Be specific! (3 sentences min.)

I think the 18-35 (reg) is the best for this one. You can get the blurry background that you wanted. On my donut picture, I used the reg one. I really liked how the picture came out. In the other one, I used a reg camera on the iPhone. I got exactly want I was looking for in the photo too!

Q6 What advice would you give to next year’s students for shooting food portraits? Be specific! (3 sentences min.)

Something I would do is bring in a food that you really really like and you can image the shot. That is what I did and I am really really satisfied with the shot. Lastly, bring the food in, because you do not want to be that guy who does not have it.

The elements of art!!!!!

Oct - 03 2023 | 3 comments | By

This is Zapper, his hair shows us all first kinds of elements of art

This is a close up shot of a football soaring through the air with a cool background

These abstract colors show us everything in this trashcan!

This road sign looks like a shape and something that you would be see in New Jersey

These shapes show so much color

This pipe shows a blurry background and a cool shot!

This sidewalk just could stand still

These leaves are just sitting here on a gloomy day

At a rainy at OP I captured this shot

This bald eagle soaring throughout the skies

Some of the strengths I have is a good eye for pictures. One of my weakness is that my partner does not help me. The only weakness is good stuff.

I can improve by shots by taking a lot of them. I need better shots because I have good ideas. I want to get very good shots.

The one with the pipe I really like it. it tells me about the blurry background.  This one is my favorite.

I really want to further explore the blurry ones. I really like these and I think I am good at taking these pictures. These are really cool.

I want to get more edits in my pictures. I want to enhance my photos. This is a great class with some great people!!!
